Apologies We wish to apologise for omitting to include the authors names with some articles in Issue One: The Road to Zero Waste was written by Lenny Antonelli Education in Kinsale was written by Klaus Harvey The Powerdown piece was written by Graham Strouts. Apologies to Graham, Klaus and Lenny. Also, following pieces were written by editor Andy Wilson A Short History of Global Warming Corrib Gas of Little Benefit to Ireland Other Errors/Omissions The final caption in John Fitzgerald's article 'Taming the Atlantic' should have read: "artists impression of Ocean Power Delivery's Pelamis devise. How this very obvious error got past more than a dozen proof reads is a mystery! A Short History of Global Warming: it has been brought to our attention than alpinist 'Henry' Tyndall was Irish not English and his name was infact John! We would welcome other errors being brought to our attention.
Issue Two While we were very pleased with the high quality of the layout and graphics of Issue 2, it was a little disappointing that a number of strange typesetting and spelling errors appeared in the publication. We apologise to the many people who put in long hours proof reading and getting all the articles word perfect. The only explanation is that on the very last night Andy and Des were both very tired and somehow re-used an old version in the final pdf. Getting Disconnected: The installed European solar PV capacity is now in the region of 6000 MWp. The figure giving in the original version of the article was 800 MWp. Europe reached this capacity early in 2004! Capacity is now expanding at about 2000 MWp per annum. However, this impressive achievement does not disiminish the argument against interconnectors. The article has been updated to reflect the current situation. A number of articles are now available in pdf format. See below:
